East Suburban Psychological Associates has two certified pet therapy dogs, Annie and Simba Lee, who are both Golden Retrievers. The dogs help provide the calming benefits of pet therapy to our patients. They also participate in a pet therapy group session twice a month, where they help patients with socialization skills as well as with the reduction of anxiety and depression. Simba and Annie also regularly visit Montefiore, Presbyterian, WPIC, and Children’s Hospitals, where they work with patients to reduce anxiety and symptoms of depression.
